Just because it's the last 2024 mail day and not because I got anything exciting...

Just a lot of some minor league cards. Not all shown obviously, but there were 7 Clayton McCullough (former Dodgers first base coach 2021-2024 and newly named Msrlins manager) and 2 Darien Nunez. Maybe this will make his autograph more attainable, because i still need one!

Starying 2025 pretty strong. I will see how things progress. none of these are new autos, but the SC is a new card. Of course, the Signature archive cards usually are new additions too.

Soto /49. Something made me see what he had for certified autos, as he did a brief stint with LA, knowing none would be Dodger cards. Wanted to get a certified card just because.

Antonio Perez /50, also a short timer Dodger.. He never actually played for the Mariners, but has a ton of autos and no certified Dodger autos that I have come across. Gotta love how that seems to work!

That is a minor league card of Clayton McCullough. I don't know what year or set, but could look if you really wanted that info. its before his Dodgers tenure, I know that for sure.

Today brings a Leaf Garvey 1/1. There have been probably a dozen or more of these with different patterns and designs. I don't win many new low print run Garvey's these days and frankly, don't mind that at all. I just finished up posting on an older thread about 1/1s. They really don't mean much anymore. Change the border and /or background, stamp it 1/1 and you can create a mint selling overproduced crap. Nothing like those early Masterpeice or press plates we were introduced to in the late 90s. This is crap, as far as i am concerned, but I still bought it. Santa Garvey?


I do usually report on the serial numbers. It seems counterintuitive to what I said above, but I do still prefer the lower end of the spectrum when I can get them. Makes it a little more special (besides those 1/1s I just bashed above).

That is laughable. And he is probably nowhere near the quantity of the more popular players, although Topps and Leaf have been blasting cards out of him.

Thought this Vargas was lost to the Ebay Standard Trading Card shipping joke of a tracking system. Showed delivered about a week ago. Ebay needs to answer for how it could have been "delivered" a week ago, when clearly it was not. I have lost several of these so far to being delivered and thus, no recourse for the buyer when it shows delivered. I lost count of how many never showed delivered that I did get. That is a potential nightmare for sellers if dishonest buyers are getting non-delivered cards.

I have grown to hate this method, which I once encouraged and loved, due to the price. nOce again, you get what you pay for! I now pay for regular shipping for any card that I would not want to lose, regardless of price.

Pretty excited for this, as I was unaware it existed. Brian Dozier on a Dodgers card. He didn't stay long, 37 games in 2018. Glad Topps captured him as a Dodger.

Howie Reed pc. The Pirates PC lot and the Flores auto were separate purchases from same seller.


Billy Herman cut to go with my Babe Herman cuts. It is a Dodger card because of the logo, but it's a cut HOF PC that shows him as a Cub. Oh well, better than nothing.

Better known as a Cub, Billy was a Dodger from 1941-46, with some time off for War Service. He has 2 AS seasons for them as his career was winding down. Like many of that time, he lost a couple good years to the War. he was done after the 47 season, but had a long coaching/manager career as well. A 10X AS, he is one many think was a borderline HOFer, elected by the Vet committee. Doesn't matter, he's in and those who think that aren't!


Finally a small lot of mid 70s Duke cards. Not signed unfortunately. Wish they were. Maybe I can get the Pasley card signed someday.

Garvey AG /5. I'd almost rather have a /5 or /10 than a 1/1 these days. They have made them corny now. 100s if not 1000s made of better players by now. Way to make something that was once special, ordinary now!
