Sorry man I can't help you out but those were THE hottest bats I've ever swung. Doubt they would be legal today.

My brother has a (-5) ZCore sitting in his living room collecting dust, he's expecting a baby any day now and could probably use the extra cash, if you want I'll give him a call tomorrow and see what he'd take for it.

 That story is true that i did use them in 2000 my senior year of high school then they were banned when i played college, they went to -3 bats. but yes i was trying to get one for a steal and then flip it into some nice cards 8-) 8-) 8-)

if any one has one they can thank me later

so your goal was to take advantage of fellow board members who didnt know about these bats?

You get paid for what you know my friend and actually I i pay good money for them its no different then buying a baseball card and making a profit from it. If i offered somebody $300-$400 for a bat they just had laying around noy knowing it was worth anything im sure they would be happy with the $300-$400 and i may make $100-$200. it all comes down to the condition of the bat. they are extremely hard to find in good condition since they were banned everyone just used them for bp or trashed them.

My uncle had one of these that he gave me. I swung that thing until it broke in half, that bat was insane until the very last day of its life. I was hitting on a Hit Away when it broke and I was upset. There is no chance that it would be legal for play today at the high school level you must swing BBCOR and the old Eastons are like the craziest bats ever made. Ihad a Easton Sc888 and even that I think it was a 2005 or so and that bat still has pop today. Easton knows how to make bats.

yeah I think its all east coast who are buying these bats. the mens league baseball over there must not have a regulation on what bats they can use, thats my guess anyways. ive sold like 4 of these bats and they were all east coast. It even had me wondering if people are recycling the scandium alloy or something because of the crazy prices they sell for, but im pretty sure its for actual use in adult leagues. the league i play in is all wood bats so no worries for me.

I sold a z2k and z core about 3 years ago and made a nice chunk of change. They were slightly above junk level. These prices are nothing new.

But really, eBay is the great equalizer. I check completed sales on many things other than baseball cards. It only takes a second to educate yourself.
