Have a BC auto with an auto that is smudged in one spot. Is there a way to wipe this clean without compromising the surface of the card?

q tip and rubbing alcohol

I wouldn't bother. If it's part of the signature, you're probably going to mess up the rest of the signature. I've cleaned up surface scuffs with said method, but I wouldn't touch a signature with it.

Scan?

Tried the alcohol q-tip method and it worked wonders.

It's tough to see because it's not even that severe, but just to the left of the 'M' is a bit of smudging (which is now gone). I've been considering sending this card for grading ever since I pulled it, but a minor roller scratch and the sig smudge have held me back. The smudge isn't a big deal although it probably would have made the auto grade a 9. I think I might give it a try now though. Anyone have success grading a card with a roller mark?

Yep just to the left of it. Not a huge deal but probably would drop the auto grade to a 9 if I sent it to BGS.
