Great pickups folks :)

As some of you know - I've been in a selling phase lately (mostly my t206 commons) to pay for some univeristy fees. I have added four t206s though - three scanned here and one more to follow:

Southern Leaguer number 5- Old Mill back -

An amazing follow up to the previous thread. What are the odds?

A non-Yankee vintage, for a change. I purchased this Ray Ryan T206 Piedmont card for $250, as I wanted a player who played here in Roanoke.

Now back to my Yankee vintage:
A 1955 Topps Double Header Skowron/Sullivan #21/22, SGC 84, which cost me $98.99.

Thats quite amusing - I'm sure this card has not been posted in the 107 pages of the thread then two in two posts - WOW!!!!

Scotty - on the main baseball board there is a 'I'm making banners' thread by a member called JBel4331. His work is incredible!

I posted about this earlier on the main baseball board, but I have it in hand now. This is really going to become a new addiction. I've been researching my next buys and planning on selling off a ton of stuff to fund the new endeavor. Here's the first:

I'm pretty hooked on this vintage stuff from all sports--I see a mix but is graded the way to go?

Danny,

Nice pickups - the Chase pink portrait is one of my favourite cards in the set!

Do you by any chance have an extra Doerr from your set? [Blue back]......GL with the set by the way!

WoundedDuck - Welcome to the new addiction! Good start! :)

Jay1065 - Very nice OJ!! I like the image on that one.

Also, I have nothing incomming....but do have my eyes on a few cards now that I have a little money to spend. I'll keep you guys posted. 8-)

I'm in trouble....vintage pickup #2:

McGraw.jpg

my first HOFer :D

I'm also watching a big card that ends tomorrow night. I'll be placing a high bid and hoping, but I probably won't win it with my luck. For whatever reason, not by design, a lot of the cards/players I'm interested in right now have ties to the Merkle boner game. I really want to pick up a card of each Tinkle, Evers, and Chance....possibly a low grade example of the T202 with Tinkle and Chance would be perfect. I love the look of the T202s. We'll see.
