Went to a little get together at the stadium this afternoon. They fed us and had a couple of starting pitchers come up to talk to us. Was able to get my first autographs of the season from Salem!

Reggie Theus on a 2024 Panini USA Pablo Torres card, signed in black sharpie, sent to Bethune-Cookman on 3/24/25. Sent to Pablo, with no idea why Theus signed it!!!!

Ok here goes…I got…
Coaches AJ Sager and Drew Skrocki, Jon Singleton, Luke Ritter, Billy McKinney and Grant Hartwig on cards and Hartwig in my 2024 Mets yearbook
My son also got Hartwig, Ritter, Singleton, Sager and Skrocki on cards and on his ball he added Genesis Cabrera, Joey Meneses, Luis De Los Santos, Donovan Walton, Billy McKinney and Jose Azocar

We had gone back to the ballpark Saturday night and did pretty well again, but the cherry on top came after the game…
I got Jose Azocar on the Mets logo card cuz he’s got a pretty sig, Anthony Gose (who definitely doesn’t) and Niko Goodrum (who also does, really takes his time and writes everything out)
My son also got two Gose and a Goodrum and another ball with a lot of guys on it. His friend that we brought got 8 players on his ball and his Luke Ritter card signed. He was super excited about getting Jakson Reetz since his name was also Jaxson and they are both catchers. Not a bad haul for his second minor league game ever, and we took him and his family to their first last year too…but definitely didn’t do as well graphing then

while we were getting autographs Brandon Sproat came back from his before game bullpen session and the kids asked him to sign and he said he would after the game. I jokingly told him I would hold him to it. So in the ninth we worked our way back by the Mets dugout and…Boom, he stayed and signed like he said he would. A lot of guys, especially not teams #1 prospects, wouldn’t, be he said he would and he did. I guess Jose azocar also gave his gloves to a little girl so they asked Sproat to see if he would come back out and sign them for her, so Sproat got him, and he came back out, another really nice guy who my son has really taken too, so he got that beautiful signature on a minibat also

I was definitely impressed. A lot of guys say “after the game” and you never see them again, he stayed and signed for everyone who remained…wasn’t many, but he did it, and I’m definitely a fan. Taught my son about signing on the sweet spot. He got his ball signed on the sweet spot and then ran over, grabbed mine and ran back and said can you also sign this one for my dad on the sweet spot? It was so cute. Oh, and my sons friend got Sproat on a team ball he was getting, and the kid smudged it, and Sproat resigned over it again…good dude over all!

From April 13th's visit by Florida State @ Virginia Tech, here is the FSU group - Jamie Arnold is a top 5 prospect for this year's draft & Noah is Gary Sheffield's son, though unfortunately Gary did not attend the game:
