Also upgraded this Bill Hall from a postcard.

Two pickups. Both are upgrades but only one really NEEDED an upgrade.


Shawn Chacon via TTM. He's notorious for refusing to sign Astros items. I wrote him a letter talking about how he may not realize it, but he's a folk hero in Houston for tossing Ed Wade like it was Wrestlemania. It seems to have worked.

The second one is a huge addition. I've had it signed by Framber and Deetz for about three years but Josh James eluded me. It is finally complete.

Deetz was TTM. Framber was IP during Spring Training. Josh James was a consignment through a Minor League grapher. I honestly thought it would never be complete.

Autograph 990 arrived today. It's crazy how close I am to 1,000!

Persistence pays off. After three unanswered TTM requests, I finally got him to sign a copy. This is upgraded from a Minor League card.

A new addition in today. This leaves me with only two autographs on my needs list that have signed cards from Topps (Trey Cabbage in A&G and Jake Bloss in Bowman)

One upgrade came in today.


This is a custom card made by someone else (Sandy Valdespino died before quality customs were really a thing) and it's not the highest quality, but it is an upgrade from an index card.

Trey Cabbage. I'm now down to just Jake Bloss for officially released autos that I don't have.


Chad Paronto, upgraded from a Minor League auto. Obtained via TTM.

And then the HUGE addition this week.


Paul Wall. Wall is a Houston area rapper and I love oddball signatures. I've been trying to get this signed for about six years and finally have it in my collection.

Two upgrades this week.


Brian Bixler from a private signing, upgraded from an index card. I love how casual he is in this pic.


Ernie Fazio upgrade from an index card. This is one of the few "guys with an actual card" that I didn't have. Finally found one that wasn't personalized and knew this was the one I needed.

Question for you and the other team autograph completists who are in this thread - would you consider picking up a cheap sticker auto card for a player you need, but on another team - then peeling off the sticker and sticking it on a base card of the player on your team?
