A couple oldies, including Harry "Hi or Hy" Myers, who died in 1965. Had a hardfull of solid years with Brooklyn between 1909-1922. Retired with almost 1400 H and a .281 BA. He had some speed too, with 100 career triples.

I think I did actually needed this card still. Been less competitive for anything Garvey lately, unless it's a design I really want. I do make sure that my rival pays a premium for all the low print run cards that are up for auction though. Occasionally, I actually win 1 or 2.

This is not one of those low print runs premiums, although it does seem weird to say /49 isn't a low print run anymore. There is literally less than 1 copy per State in the US made and I don't think that is a low enough number to really fight for it! What has this hobby become?
Garvey Panini 49 Au.png

I will count this as a Dodger, because he was a minor league coach for them in the mid 70s (and a pretty solid, mostly overlooked player from the 40s-50s). He has a Dodger card in the SSPC set even.

I think this 7X AS and 2X batting champ might be in the HOF had he spent most of his career in NY instead of Washington. 2495 hits, 1311 RBI and a .286 lifetime average. He lost 2 years of his prime to WWII as well, coming back from the service in 1946 after 2 years off to lead the AL with 51 doubles and a .353 average along with 207 hits, good enough for 2nd with 1 behind LL Johnny Pesky. Not a high bar HOF career, like Aaron or Mays but solid with excellent longevity. Clearly better than 98% of his peers.

interesting design for the Pages. I like it. It reminded me of thise blister pack insert cards that were issued in the late 80s/early 90s that are very hard to find, despite being from the junk era. I think they had little trophies on them.

These are always cool. How great would this card be if signed by all 3!? /25 GU

I needed a 70 Perranoski. Close to the run and @MrMet2.0 I don't have an extra 62 to trade you unfortunately. oddly, I don't have a lot of duplication for him. In fact, I still need a couple more to have his full Topps run myself. This one was glued into a scrapbook and if i had the skills and patience, it might be salvageable, but i DON'T. it was less than $3, so I can live with the back. Maybe someday I will get it fixed as good as possible or i may just find a decent replacement along the way.

A&G base auto and a Blue Press Pass /20 that I stumbled upon luckily before someone else for $4 BIN with $1.25 shipping. I almost never find deals like that.

The site does seem to lack that traffic all these sites once had. I still prefer these sites over places like instagram or facebook groups.

Today brought only 1, an unlicensed Leaf/Press Pass red card /10. I am reminded so often of the sadness of these licensing issues. This really is crap, but yet I keep buying a few cards here and there. I actually won this on accident. This one even briefly discusses his political endeavors in enough detail to cause me to gag a little (figuratively).

Garvey /15
Garvey Topps 15.png

Garvey Sporting Life. Paying tribute to 1951 Bowman and purposefully aged. This is one of 3 custom card makers I have really come to like. Banty Red has been shared numerous times by me. The other is Helmar, but I actually don't own any of those. I can tell just by looking that they are quality cards though.

Just returned from vacation and a week back to work. Was not able to find the time to open everything and post here, so here is my latest batch almost a month after my last post. I will need more than one reply to show it all, despite sowing down on my bidding.

Starting with Garvey, of course...Not trying to get all of these anymore, but one of each design/player combo would be nice. With so many out there at once, I failed to notice similar designs being won. Oh well, I won't break the bank to do it though.

PCL Au lot - CAnada - February.pngGreat 1984 PCL lot with several signed. The cool part was mostly Dodgers and Mariners.

Clout 5 items.pngA few more Dodgers minor league signatures. Maybe 5-6 total. Not all shown but mostly more obscure guys.

TCMA 82 Dukes Set.png1982 TCMA Dukes set. Was not going to buy, as I have one already. But the price was too good to pass and this set is loaded with future Dodgers, including Hershiser, John Franco to name a couple. The set came in new toploaders for each card as well, not that I use them for my auto cards. $15 + s/h!

Daubert Blankets.pngLot of (2) Jake Daubert 1918 B-14 Blankets

TT 5 Gold Dodgers.pngPair of timeless Teams /5 inserts, Shelby & Hatcher

Hodges Photo.png1950s Dodgers photo pack Hodges, with some back damage, but got it for a buck so not complaining!

Couldn't quite get them all in, so one more item.

Dixie Delong Banty.pngBanty Red custom card of Dixie Walker. Not shown as a Dodger unfortunately, although I wish he had been. Lefty O'Doul is in the actual 1933 Delong set and the only Dodger representative of the very small set. The cartoonish features of this set captured my interest as a kid and it's always been one of my favorites from vintage times. They are not easy cards to find on a bargain budget, so prepare to spend. I have maybe a half dozen of the originals and this was the only Banty I have been able to win. They have been quite popular, selling for some big $

Garvey /10. This one has a shadowbox/3D effect to it. Pretty cool for a non-logo.

Another Heritage box topped. They have come down in price a fair amount. Still not easy to find though.
