Target, Wiz, Crown, Keebler. Brewers possibly had one too, think it was a beer set. I am not aware off the top of my head of other teams with fairly complete sets for their all-time rosters. They make for great sets when chasing down the obscure. Its been almost 35 years since the Dodgers had theirs, so many new players since.

Have several different of these, but at a decent price, they are great to pick up. Unopened Kelloggs packs. Garvey, of course.

A lot of padre Team photos. Had a lot of the Garvey era. This brought me into the 90s as well. I was a fan of them through about 93, a hold over from the Garvey days. Lots of star/semi-star players like Gwynn, Alomar Bros, Cora, Mack, Santiago, Carter, McGriff, Sheffield, Lynn, Roberts, Kruk, McReynolds, etc.

I have gotten lucky the last couple times and these happen to have arrived on the same day. Both #6, a jersey match. Really wish nobody else collected these and I didn't have to pay a premium for them when they do come up (or lose out), but at least with these 2, I did not. One was a BIN/BO and the other snuck by for cheap! It really is taking the player collection a step up and makes for an interesting chase, although I did get tired of asking sellers what the serial number is on cards they photograph poorly or just don't show/mention at all. Had found a few 6/ that way, but its been a long time for one of those finds.

One is 6/25 and the other 6/50.

A very nice selection today. Mondays seem to bunch up the mail, regardless of when it was purchased.

Garciaparra /7. For retro designs, my favorites for signatures are 1956, 1961, 1976 and closing out the top 5 with 1957 and 1958.

S Green /350. Didn't look close enough, thought it was a Dodger card. Still like the set.

Billy Cox 1954 Bowman. Cox died in 1978, so his signatures are fewer and further between than his average Boys of Summer teammates.

The (4) posters (3 Dodgers/1 Angels) had some tape and wear, but I had never seen the Angels one and had no idea they did any as well. Ryan and Robby is a great pair too.

Lot of 50+ Bohemium Padres in great shape. 6 Garveys! This set has always been fairly tough. I think someone pulled some Gwynns and sold the rest.

MAJOR name off the Dodgers autograph wantlist. Biggest in a while and maybe the last biggie I can ever add. It's not Ohtani.

Mookie betts. A floor of Lead sticker auto cards has thankfully watered down the price of his cards a bit. I would have preferred a licensed Dodger card, but as of yet, I don't think they exist.

This one is /3. I do like the die cut design as well.

How the mighty have fallen. Two Dodgers with amazing seasons in 2021, only to fall to injury and scandal.

This Urias gold refractor /50 was $6.50! I wonder if he'll even play again.

Buehler. At least he is back, but after his 2021 16-4 season, followed by the injury shortened 2022 where he went 6-3 and then the whole next season off, he is 1-4 in 2024. I think this was under $10 as well.

i'll call this the highlight of my COMC order.

Some new Dodgers that I probably have not highlighted yet that checked off new names at the time of purchase. Paxton, Trammell, N. ramirez, Brogdon, Vanasco & Varland

Finbally, if you have followed the adventure, I wanted to get one of these Zach McKinstry cards when they first came out. It was his only autograph at the time and quite a cool one at that. Since then, he has moved on elsewhere and his autographs were watered down immensely. my issue was the unexplainable prices these were going for, proof positive that people buying cards purely on speculation are taking a major risk (this is in lieu of something more personal and abrasive).

I finally landed one for my price and slowly tracked down the base, pink/red /25, and black 199, leaving just the gold. I offered to a few sellers with their heads in the cloud (asking stupid prices for a player/card that had already tumbled hard) and the offers were ignored. I found one on COMC for about what I was paying for any of them, probably an overpayment at this point, but needed to finish the set. ($10 ish).

Edit - Apparently the software to find naughty words is working OT now. AJ Poll0ck got flagged. Too close to a slur about people from Poland?

Knocked this off the list. Glad to see his prices were not unreasonable. I remember when he was a prospect, I though his cards were very hot at that time. I could have been wrong though. I like this one, as it doesn't feature a MLB team.
Biggio.png

Ethier, (/6) Garciaparra (/20) and Gonsolin (/39) Archives Signature. I can't stop buying these! Yep, I am the (cheap) sucker Topps had in mind when they came up with this idea.

Konerko

This seller shipped loose in a thin padded mailer. no team bag, no tape. Card was at the top of the loader, ready to slide out when I reached in the mailer and pulled it out. When are people going to learn/give a crap? No damage, but one more lucky chance...
Konerko.png

Interesting letter on Dodger letterhead, written and signed (first name only) by Lefty Phillips. I wish it were fully signed, but then if it were, I probably would not have won it for under $10!

Phillips was a scout for the Dodgers (1952-64) and brief stint as pitching coach (65-68) before going on to manage the Angels for 3 seasons (69-71). He passed away in 1972 at age 53 from an asthma attack. I never realized he was with the Dodgers when I was younger, but I did have his 1970 Topps card and it always stood out to me. He just looked like a successful manager in that shot, sitting on the dugout steps looking on to his battleground.

Garvey 66/99 (twice as good as a jersey match #6 card? Not quite, but still cool.)

And a couple of once white hot Dodger sluggers who are not quite as hot any more.
