I always thought they used skate boards or benches for their "bat" cards.

Sent from my HTCONE using Freedom Card Board mobile app

That video dates from 2006 but looks and feels like 1989. Strange time warp sensation + weirdly awkward dialogue = Winner.

The quote "There's really a lot of history on the inside of these pants" seals the deal.

I wonder if they still use league approved vendors to buy their GU stock from? Also not too sure why they outsource the cutting up if the items. You could give any dummy a small saw and some scissors and never have to have the product leave the premises. The less hands it goes through the better.

Very cool video. It's sad but you want to be on Topps side but this is the first time I've seen anything where they attempt to be transparent.

I don't see why they don't take pictures of all that stuff or the items that have been out into product and post to a website or something. It's help with people totally buying into their product authenticity.

I imagine it's because if the pic shows a Pujols home jersey and the card is a Pujols alternate top jersey, people will know topps messed up - put the wrong pujols swatch in the card or used a swatch from some other athlete on a pujols card.

this topps relic video was okay. I prefer the Panini one where they show the artifact actually being processed and sliced and diced (from the item arriving at the vendor, seam-ripping to get flat pieces to cut, putting some kind of backing on the piece, using template to figure out how best to cut it, the press that cuts the relic squares, placing the swatches on an uncut sheet of relic cards, putting on the top piece and sealing the two halves, and finally cutting the relic cards apart into single cards).
