I'm considering making a trip to Lakewood this weekend to watch Bryce Harper and A.J. Cole. I wanted to know if anyone has tried to get a Harper auto on the road?

Also, I am not familiar with the Lakewood stadium. Does anyone know where players usually sign?

One more request, anyone here from the Hagerstown area? I want to get a program and would like to offer paypal for one.

Thanks guys

From info I gathered on my other board that is about ip graphs, Harper has been getting harder. Turns down people that look like adults and mostly signs if he does for kids. I live 8 minutes from the stadium so I'm gonna go to all 4 games as it can't hurt to try. Just got to go there with very very low expectations as that's going to be my mindset. If I get lucky cool, but if not I am already accepting it.

He does not sign in parking lot. Usually before first pitch on left field after warming up Also near dugout. Good luck. I'll be lugging around a huge poster board. Say hi if you see me. I'll be in my dads borrowed nationals hat and shirt

Not going to lie but he should sign for people, not everyone but he should sign. Even Strasburg signed for a lot of people last year if you got lucky, he didn't sign everyday but he would sign for 10-15 minutes when he did. I do get sigs, but only on baseballs which I don't get rid of(I roll my eyes when I see people that have 6 pictures or cards of one player). Harper should appreciate that he is in this situation as he's making arms over fist hitting a ball. All it takes is one nasty wrist, ankle, or knee injury and it could be all taken away.

Why should he sign? It's his job to hit the ball and he does get paid hand over fist for doing so. I dont think he is getting paid to sign autographs for people before or after the game. Will it help his image if he signs? Sure but the Nats are going to pay him one way or the other and if he hits the ball they will promote him whether he signs autographs for people or not. As for your Strasburg comment, when he got to DC he refused to sign (I've heard he signed in the minors). I didn't see him pick up a single pen after he parked his car, during bp, or leaving the stadium. I heard he signed ONCE for 2 people when leaving the stadium and he signed during the midsummer Nats picnic. That was it.

I've read that while he's been hit or miss as far as signing for adults vs. kids and about personalizing, recently he's actually been pretty good about signing after games.
