I'm pretty sure a lot of people are questioning whether 301-350 are truly the SPs this year.

I've only opened retail AG (loose packs and blasters) and have pulled a card within that range in almost every pack.

LOL are you serious?

301 to 350 have always been the SPs
They are always in the same location in the pack (as they always have been and the way all SPs of all products are)
The odds of an SP match what a box has (hobby)

loosen that tin-foil hat of yours before you lose whatever you're betting

Have you opened any retail blasters?

I regularly got 1-3 "SP's" per pack.
Out of the 3 blasters I've opened, I have more "SP's (301-350) then regular base 300 and below.

I have and gotten 1-3 per blaster as well as 2 in a pack - that has no bearing on whether they're SPs or not

colation is all over the place this year.

A 50 card spread of cards (301-350) that comes every 2 packs(on average) will net you more than any other 50 card spread when there are only 5 other cards in the pack

also explains why the SP minis seem more plentiful because of all the different mini sets.

with 24 minis in a box and about 10 different types of minis, just getting one or 2 SPs makes it appear that they are not short printed

301-350 have NOT always been the Allen Ginter SPs, if you go back and view 2006 and 2007 the SPs are random set numbers. Based on last years set (SPs are 301-350), Beckett is making the assumption that 301-350 are the SPs. Topps has not given anyone SP info, so until then it is everyone's guess.

This product is riddled with poor correlation and distribution flaws, and not sharing the SP data is a mechanism to hide this situation.

Dude, Chill out a little. People have opened many cases of A&G and the SP is always the last card in the pack. 12 of those cards per box. That equals the odds Topps has on the packs. Now for retail those odds go out the window. I have not seen the 2-3 SPs per box that people have spoken about but in the 12 Blasters I have opened. Once again the SPs were roughly 1 every 2 packs.

Ive opened Ginter every year, here are SP lists for you from 2006 and 2007, blows your quote above out of the water, doesnt it?

2006 - http://reviews.ebay.com/2006-Topps-...l-Short-Prints-SPs_W0QQugidZ10000000001663914
2007 - http://reviews.ebay.com/2007-Allen-amp-Ginter-Short-Print-Checklist_W0QQugidZ10000000004244167

Until Topps releases the SP list, I will not believe that 301-350 are all SP's this year. I hope I'm proven wrong, but based on the blasters I opened, 1 per pack would not justify them being SP, as the pack odds say 1:2, they are falling 1:1.

I look at it from this perspective, if they are falling 1:2 in Hobby and 1:1 in retail, to me they are not "true" SP's based on the pack odds. They should fall more of a 1:3-ish in hobby if they are falling 1:1-ish in retail to make up the true 1:2 overall odds, otherwise there are more 301-350's out there than there should be. JMO

I won't diasgree with your statement that there are more 301-350 out there than there should be. But you are making your statement based on your opening of blaster boxes. Topps has a long history of screwed up collation in balsters. I've opened some of each of the four kinds of packaging I've seen (Hobby, Blaster, Retail and Rack Packs) - the only place I've seen a problem is with blasters.

Another way that I gauge scarcity is by the inventory of cards on Sportlots. There are currently 13,163 cards from 1-300 - an average of 44 cards - the only cards with inventory less than 20 are high demand cards (Posey, Heyward, the ***** Leaguers and a few of the non baseball players).

There are 938 cards in the 301-350 range - an average of 19 each. The most cards of any player in the 301-350 range is 30 for Jared weaver.

Most reports I saw (and my 6 hobby boxes) indicated the 1:2 packs for 301-350 ran true. More than half the A&G print run was sold in hobby boxes.

One aspect of the collation issue with balsters is that it is easier to build the 301-350 set from blasters than the 1-300 set.

Back in 2001 or 2002 I remember buying Heritage blasters and getting 3-4 SPs per box and the SPs were announced. You cannot figure print runs from blasters. Like I said before I don't see where you guys are getting all these SPs (301-350) out of your blasters. I have opened 11 or 12 of them and received 4-5 per box. Maybe the problem is in a different packaging plant.
