Apparently this was dropped off after my was delivered this morning. Not sure if someone got my mail by mistake or the delivery person stopped by again, but here we are.

UC3 was just Sportflics with a premium tag, I believe this set was released when Topps attempted their version with Dimension III, their ill-fated set that was marketed as having two series but was canceled after the lackluster sales from series one.

@Dilferules -- Nice pickups, enjoy seeing them! Thanks, I can't see myself starting another "complete" player collection beyond O'Neill, so I am trying to vet the best copy of other Yankees HOFers that I can afford.

Guys like Ichiro, Matsui, Mattingly, Bernie, and Rivera have signed a lot more cards in the last 10 years. Their prices have fallen significantly across the board. Matsui was once a $200-300 auto, now he is $50-100. Rivera was $200-300 10 years ago, now he is $100. I feel this presents a nice buying opportunity for cards I've always wanted. I can get a "premium" or rare version now for what a common auto would have cost 10-15 years ago. I am able to buy cards/sets I've always wanted, especially from the 2000-2005 era. I strongly feel in 50 years, there will be a premium on HOFer/star cards from their career and these will be the cards of focus. Much like how collectors today view 1920s Ruth vintage cards versus those from 1961 Topps.

A quick search on COMC, had to pick these to complete the "rainbow." The gold parallel is jersey numbered! 41, was his Yankees uniform number. I couldn't pass on the silver for $2.

2002 Donruss Stat Line Season Paul O'Neill /70 -- Completes the 1999-2002, Stat Line Season and Career subsets. Puts me at 7/8ths, or 87.5% complete on his playing year cards which was my goal by the end of 2024.

Lastly, something a little different. Popped up on my Ichiro 2012 Yankees searches, didn't expect to win at starting price for $1.00 + S/H. Pairs well with my Rivera t shirt which I had bought from Modell's many years ago. Perhaps the only two unanimous hall of famers.

I am getting to the point where adding any more of these is probably unlikely. I had never seen Jones offered before. I don't think that necessarily means anything, other than no copies were offered when I was looking. One listed for a hefty price, but I watched it. There was a sale on it right off, but I still felt it was too high. Then I got an offer with additional savings. Maybe Jones was a tougher auto at some point, not sure. I decided that although I'd probably see one at half the price 3 weeks after I bought it, I didn't want to miss my chance at a heavily discounted copy.

I am not sure where I stand with the set, but there are a couple that are very hard to find, so maybe I'll check where I stand and see if I can call this one as complete as I'll get. Now that i think about it, Bill Bradley is still a need and although he is dead and had some fame/exposure in politics, I think his card may still be attainable.

Saw this lot and the price was pretty decent. These PCs were apparently used by the Hawks as fan mail replies. Maybe there were some scheduled signings. Not sure. The first one I ever owned was obtained in person by me at a Home Show. John Yarno had a booth (as he was a contractor in the off season).

Anyway, when I looked closer, I saw they were all signed as well! Bonus to get them signed at around a price I would have likely paid for an unsigned lot. Highlights include Steve Largent, Dave Brown (deceased), Kenny Easley and Dave Krieg.

This kind of stuff is what is keeping my in the hobby even now, when I know that I should stop and prepare for the great sell-off!

Late posting for Monday's mail. Some football Archives and a few cheapie baseball autos. I really like that Willingham design. Never knew about it until recently. They seldom seem to show up.
