I'll try and snag some fence signs, about 3' x 4' on flexible plastic, and send to you
I do appreciate that and thought that if he ever did run for office, I would try to collect those. however, I am not sure it is worth the cost to mail them. That is unique, but I think the smaller stuff (postcards, business cards or even an 8x10 would be cool, but I think the signs are probably just too big. This is especially true as I prepare to start slimming the collection eventually. Garvey stuff may go last, but I can't take it with me and nobody in my family wants any of it.

A couple of the new Bowman. I think I am down to 1 besides the Yamamoto, which is too $$$ for my blood.

Wills UD buyback /70. That line is on the image, not the card.

In celebration of the Dodgers eliminating the Padres in the NLDS tonight...

Furillo is from a decent, but lesser seen early 80s set from GS Gallery. If I recall, they were a hobby dealer who advertised in publications and did mail order. Couldn't remember if I had Minner, who started his career with the Dodgers between 1946-49 and no playing day cards with the Dodgers that I am aware of, perhaps there could be something tough and obscure like Tip Top or similar, so these types of certified cards were really appreciated by me. The Belcher is cool. Some sort of promotional card that promotes refraining from tobacco. Maybe used in personal appearances or at schools? Love the really odd stuff like this though.

River Ryan checks off a need as a new Dodger roster player. This is a filler in hopes of a licensed card later. It is /10.

A seldom seen Nakamura auto, in fact I did have his auto on a couple Leaf cards, but has never seen this one before.

Didn't have this guy's auto before, so this officially crosses a name off the wantlist. Now that I have one in the bag, I will look for a more interesting card than this one.

Playing a bit of catch up with the WS and such in between, I was not online nearly as much. This represents a lot of what I have collected in the mail since my last post. I think I got all the major items, but if not, oh well!

It is apparent that these were given or sold to breakers/dealers or somehow distributed where the general public didn't have access to them. Same with full sets of printing plates. I saw 11 different Leaf PP sets of 4 go up for sale by the same seller for $199/OBO! That was just those that featured Garvey. They may have had more as well. Ridiculous, but these proofs were at least cheap enough to warrant the BIN for me. All sold for less than if i would have had to battle and lose them to my price oblivious rival.

A couple other Garvey related items included Leaf GU/Au /35, GU with Cey /3, gold /50 insert, Leaf multi player GU /2 & /30 and a GU/Au /99.

FYI I just posted a dual signed Leaf Garvey/Sax card 3/3 on the bay, for $160
Thanks for the heads up. I grabbed a couple versions, but I am done chasing all the various color/# versions of things anymore. The card makers greed and lack of creativity killed modern player collecting for me.

Extremely excited to find this and get it for what felt like a really good price. Another newspaper "card" that many wouldn't look twice at, but these scrapbook photos were clearly meant to be clipped and saved as a series. This paper has 3 inside, Lasorda, Lopes and Mota, all shown. Would love to find the Garvey issue. I have a handful of these and have only seen them offered a couple times before.

Also a few other items signed. Garvey /100.

I hope to fill in gaps after the initial run, although you will miss things often if you don't scoop up everything when the product hits. This is the wood card, advertised as being one of 20 copies, but not numbered. This is the first T206 card I have won.

Urias /25. I'll pick up a few, since his career seems to be dead. I won't go crazy, but nice to grab some cards that would have been too pricy otherwise.
