We have one that's 283 pages strong on the baseball boards...I used to collect a slew of basketball and I still do as I am getting back into it.I forgot how many super cool cards were out there for basketball.I used to own quite a few and I know for a fact that it always seemed like basketball and football were way better when it came to 90's style inserts. There were always a lot of cool concepts not explored by their brethren sports. In fact...I think we need one of these posts on every board here.

I'll start.Mine may not be all that rare but I am slowly but surely progressing on these as I type this.A little background:

I collected basketball when I was about 10 years old until I turned about 13 or 14(I can't remember which). One day me and a friend in my class got into a shoving match and we cooled off.Or at least I thought we did.I used to take all of my cards to school(I kept them in a pink binder...it was pink because I figured nobody would look in it if it was pink since that's a girls color and who the hell would have kept basketball cards in a pink binder?) to trade them regularly. We would play a little basketball in gym class and then everybody would break out their cards and we would make daily trades.Anyhow...this dude throws out my entire bagpack into the hallway when I wasn't looking. I finally noticed and by the time I found it it had been gone through and everything but my gym shorts and my notebook for class had been stolen.Bastards even took my lunch. So after that I stopped collecting cards for good.I had a lot of really good cards(some still book pretty high to this day) but I am now getting back into it.There are a ton of cards I still want to get but its a long process.

Anyhow...here are some of mine that I have picked up over the last three years.

One of my favorites!!!!I'd love to do the set one day.I have wanted this thing ever since a friend pulled it back when I was 12.I now own 2 of them. Not worth much anymore though.

I love the concept of this card!

Also been wanting this since I was 12 and a friends brother had it.It used to be worth an insane amount of money for a 12 year old but this was back when you could go to your local eckerds or walgreens and buy a pack of cards and actually get your money back almost immediately.

One of my favorite sets as a kid...I loved this this set!!!I had the whole thing at one time and I remember my buddy getting very upset with me because I wouldn't trade any of them off.I never figured out why he expected me to either.

The Stackhouse scrapbooks are a dime a dozen but this is one of my favorites since it is see through.
05-27-2009035612am2.jpg

Apparently these were released over in Eurpoe and they are not too easy to find from what I have heard but I could have heard wrong. In any case...hopefully this thread will weed out some of the truly tougher to find cards. This is I believe, the French version.Supposedly they were released in different countries so there is more than one language.Only way I even noticed it was because I had about 20 of these and this one had a different number from the rest.

When I went to see the Rockets play the 76'ers at the summit they gave away 8x10 photos of some of the star players along with the programs. My mom got me and my buddy a program and I remember trading my buddy for his 8x10 of this same very picture for a Clyde Drexler if I remember correctly.I'd be grateful as hell if anyone knows where I can find this 8x10 as I lost it along with my cards.

Well as you guessed I am a big Stackhouse fan.But I have several more cards for other players and a slew more coming in so I will be posting more as I get to them.I figured I'd just show some of my earlier Stackhouse inserts that I had.Nothing too rare or too awesome but I am sure there are plenty of people here with better collections than mine and I am more than ready to see them.

Lets see what ya'll got!

Nice stuff!

Thanks, I have some nice ones that aren't scanned yet. I've been working on getting my Hanley collection all scanned and then on to Stoudamire and Posey. This thread might give me some reason to get moving on it.

Well hopefully it gets some more discussion on these boards and it gets the same treatment that the baseball one gets.

I have some decent inserts of Jordan and other stars but nothing mind-blowing. I was thoroughly amazed at the prices which some Jordan inserts go for....some even higher than autographs.

Its odd how a lot of the 90's inserts for Jordan command so much.Of course he has a super big following and always will but I figured at least some of these things would have dipped in price.Same can be said for other players as well.A lot of the basketball inserts hold up.

@ Tomlinson21RB - I saw a few of yours but some of your Damon is really sick.

@ ProspectorsAdvantage - Sick KB Rookie season Parallel

Here are mine.

Yesterday, I received this card. - through trade.

This is my first time to get Kobe Bryant Chrome youthquake.
(I did own Kobe Chrome RC around 1998 or 1999 though. only once.)

IMO, I have though this card would be able to be nice substitution to Kobe fans think Kobe Chrome is a bit expensive to buy or trade.

Because price is not expensive (than Kobe Chrome RC.) and total amount is less than Kobe Chrome RC.
(Of course, this card is not rookie card but rookie season insert card though.)

And here are a few of my Stackhouse cards.
(I will show another cards after other's showing.)

Most of my collection is based on 90's and 90's player.
(I got tons of their's)

not from pack, but redemption. from 1995-96 Metal.
(His rookie season card. It reflect how he was prospective in his rookie season. Another card is Grant Hill.)

Yeah...it blows but hey...you live and learn.I know when I have a little boy(at least I hope we have a little boy) I will never let him take all of his cards to school or even any good ones.I figure what your parents learn the hard way you can learn the easy way.

Nice looking Stackhouse cards.About the hardest cards I ever pulled was a 1995-96 fleer total "O" set.I got a pack of fleer at eckerds for like $1.39 that my mom got me and I pulled a hot pack with the whole set in there.I traded away everything but the Stackhouse if I remember correctly.I actually had a lot of the nicer rookie cards for Stack and Garnett and Kobe and Marbury and Camby and all those guys.Back then you could buy a few packs of stuff at a card shop and pull a base card worth some $$$ and I used to go to the one they had at Deerbrook Mall and I'd always pull somebody good.Sadly they are all gone.

Everyone...nice cards and keep posting.

Well, here are a few cards of your former collected players in my collection. =)

Kevin Garnett

Right cards are not from pack or box.(from uncutsheet.)

Furthermore, I have really liked that Kevin Garnett Picture.

I love the Jambalayas. I was going to pick up the Stoudamire but someone hit the BIN before I got a shot at it.

Jambalaya was one of sensational insert.

I also have EJ Jambalaya. =)

The MJ is on ebay at $305 with 6 days left. I have a feeling this will be an impressive sale. I wish I won the lottery or something.

Got some more in and also went through my player collections and pulled all of these to show.Nothing very pricey at all. Most of this stuff I either find for next to nothing at shows or I snag them on ebay for 99 cents when I can.I do a lot of digging through the 25 cent boxes at the shows and always seem to to come out with a few hundred cards.
