Surprised this wasn't posted, as he was one of the better FA pitchers left.

I, for one, am STOKED that he is back. Durability has always been one of the most attractive aspects of a pitcher for me. And Davis OWNS the Cubs, so that's nice.

You seen have heard the ********* on Twitter after the signing news. They were all like...

"Well, now all we have to do is trade Jeff Suppan."

I responded, "We couldn't get a book of matches for him."

Also, "If we went into a GM's office and asked to trade Suppan for nothing, they would respond, GET THE HELL OUT OF MY OFFICE!"

LOL.

I think most clubs stayed away from him since he is a 34 y/o with a 4+ career ERA.
