What kind of jersey are you looking for? Buying jerseys online can get very very tricky. You dont want to end up buying a fake or knock off. It seems like you are looking for a Lawrence Taylor. There are 2 places to buy Lawrence Taylor Jerseys.

Mitchell and Ness.Com - They go for 250-300 for a Authentic Throwback.

NFL shop.com - They have The SAME ones as Mitchell and Ness and then they have ones that are a step below. The ones that are the step below are not the same as TO THE TEE exact Mitchell And Ness's. The lower tier throwbacks that nfl shop has are made by Reebok. They are in partners with Mitchell and ness and go for about 100.00 while the AUTHENTIC throwbacks go for 250-300.

If you are planning to go on ebay, there are deals to be had. I just picked up a AUTHENTIC Montana MITCHELL AND NESS, it goes for 250, i got it for 90, it was worn 2x and was in perfect shape. If you want a brand new jersey i would go to Mitchell and NESS.com if you are a picky fanatic like myself or if you want a lower tier throwback, go to nflshop.com Reebok makes the lower tier throwbacks.

I was looking for a nice Giants JSY (used is perfectly acceptable) or a Devin Harris Jsy. I'm trying to spend as little as possible, though. I really don't want to spend 90 dollars on a jersey, unfortunately. Was the jersey in the eBay auction I provided, a "knock-off?"

my guess, yes. With the retired players, you will not find one for under 100 dollars. They do not make screened on jerseys of the retired players such as LT. The screened on jerseys of current players are cheap and go for about 45-65 bucks. If you dont mind wearing a knock off you can get one cheap. Very cheap on ebay. But if you want the real deal, you are not gonna pay under 100 for a retired great.

Thanks for your help so far!
Will there be a huge difference between the real deal and a knockoff jersey? Will the knockoff be noticeably fake? Will the knockoff be made out of cheap fabric therefore wearing out easily? Would it be considered unwise to be the knockoff?

myself, i would not buy a knock off. Cheap material would wear out alot easy. The knock off would not be too off looking of what a real one would look like. But iam very anal and fanatical when it comes to jerseys. I want the real deal of what the player put on. But if your a on a low budget etc. and dont care about it being 100% looking like what the players put on, then get a knock off. But they are cheaply made. You can tell by the lettering. The authentic jerseys dont have a crazy shine to them. But my dad got a knock off marino off the computer and it did not hold well. So like i said, you pay for what you get. do some lookin around, and if you want me to help you out, just shoot me a PM, i have got it down pretty good to identifying a fake. Just PM whenever.

jerseystore2000 has always given me good deals with good merchandise. Customer service is a little lacking, but he's in philadelphia, so it is to be expected.

I will never order from that guy again. The 2 jerseys he sent me (The original order and a replacement) every logo that could be off center was off center, one the #'s where up by the collar. That dude is the worst when it comes to faking jerseys.

I don't think he "fakes" jerseys.

It's obvious that he buys the real "blank" jerseys with the team logo and only the team logo, then buys, in bulk, the authentic letters and numbers, and then sews them on himself.

He does the same thing that the poor old ladies making $8 in the majestic/russell/whatever uniform manufacturers do. I guess on some jerseys, he doesn't do it as well.

I have no doubt that they didn't come from the factory the way he sells them, but he attachs real product to real product, and as long as it looks good to me, I'm fine with it.

And, quite frankly, for "real product", he's the cheapest I've been able to find. And I looked quite a bit.

I've bought a TO stitched Eagles jersey from him for about $50-60, and it looked GREAT; an away Ryan Howard jersey, which looked great, and a kids World Series patch Cole Hamels home jersey, which looked great. I can't even find an authentic kids Hamels jersey with real #ing on the mlb.com website.

It's obvious that your mileage may vary with this guy. Again, his attitute is rather brash and his feedback shows it, but I've been happy with his product.

I got bad news the entire jersey was faked, at least in my case. I bought a jersey and every logo was off centered and the tags where no where to be found (he admitted to stitching those on also when we talked). The material was slightly different as if he purchased a cheap softball jersey then added the majestic patches along with the logos. Then the second one I got the majestic logo on the outside was upside down and the team logo was like 6 inches from where its supposed to be.

I have no doubt about your rexperience - but are you saying that there were no laundry tags saying majestic on the back, inside collar, or on the jersey and anything "majestic", HE added?

And he admitted to that?

If you want an authentic of what LT wore, then you get the screen printed. The Mitchell and Ness or even the Reeboks are insanely better quality than 80's NFL jerseys. Look at the picture, the numbers are all screen printed.

Yup no laundry tags to be found, as a matter of fact the first jerssey had a team logo and a number nothing else no mention of majestic anywhere. I asked why this was and he said the person who stitches them must have forgotten. Then the second one one of the laundry tags (the one on the outside front by your leg) was upside down. I opened a dispute and got my money back after like a month of dealing with him, the phone # he gives he never answers so I just gave up.
