I know a lot of cards have surfaced with fake patches, but this is the first one I have noticed for Awesome Artifact. The listing discloses the card as being altered, but if someone wants to make cards, then they should use their own design. I knew it was a matter of time before something like this happens. Should I contact ebay to have the listing removed?

I was gonna say, but he does disclose that it is custom crafted.....no harm no foul but it does make ya wonder why they would tear up a rare card like those.

Almost looks like they were trying to make a good fake, but didn't know what they were doing, and messed it up. Instead of trashing the card, now they will sell it to see if they can get some money out of it. I wouldn't be shocked to see more fakes from this clown that they will try to pass as authentic.

I just don't like it, no matter how you look at it.

If the guy wants to mess up cards, that is his business, but if he wants to resell these messed up cards, then they need to be 'marked' as inauthentic. The next guy who gets the card can play dumb and say he did not know what happened, so it must be real/error.

caveat emptor

Ebay removed the auction. The card in question is a 2006 Awesome Artifact Carl Crawford #/45, the seller tried to turn it into a logoman. The seller tried to flip it quick in a 24hr listing. Thanks Ebay.
