This is it. The final Blue Jays home stand of the 2011 season. It’s kind of sad, really. But looking back, I have to say that I’ve had one of the greatest summers of my life. A lot of great memories for sure.
Friday night, the Jays are back at home against the Yankees.
Saturday, the Jay’s Care Foundation is holding their annual Garage Sale of game used, and autographed items. I’m heading down really early with Caileidgh to see whats for sale. You KNOW I gotta buy something!

Sunday is Fan Appreciation Day. I’m heading down with Caileidgh and Courtney, meeting up with their folks down there.
First 10,000 fans get a free T-Shirt Jersey of either Romero, Escobar or Lind. Personally, I want an Escobar.
I went to this last year with Valerie. All the clearance items in the Jays shop was an additional 50% off. I bought Valerie a black Jays jersey, and got myself a white Scottie Downs jersey, both for about $100. Not too shabby! It’ll be interesting to see what they have instore for this year.
As I posted earlier, Brett Lawrie and J.P. Arencibia are doing an instore autograph signing at Frozen Pond. So stoked for that. I just picked up the pictures I plan on getting signed. Can’t wait.

On Monday, the Angels roll into town. I’ve printed off a couple of 8X10′s to hopefully get signed by Scott Downs.
Last year, Scott sort of snubbed me when I asked for an autograph. It was just prior to the start of a Jays game, and he was actually walking through the 100 concourse level of the Dome. He simply said “sorry, I gotta go.”
Later, the same year, I was in the outfield seats, trying to snag balls during batting practice.
Downs was right below me. I called for a ball. He looked at me, but then threw it into the infield.
Hopefully this time, I won’t get snubbed. I have 3 games to make this happen, and I’m pretty confident that I will.
The Jays final home game of the season is Thursday. Unfortunately, I have to work, so I can’t make it. But, I’m going to make the most of the 6 remaining games I can go to.
Stay tuned for updates!
