Another Redemption Problem:

I redeemed a 2009 A&G Cat Osterman. Topps package arrives today with a 2007 A&G Auto Greg Louganis.

1). A&G has only been a few months and they are already pulling the plug on getting Osterman?
2). Osterman signs tons of items, TTM and IP but not for Topps?
3). Another high selling A&G redemption replaced with a card atleast 1/2 of it value.

Thankfully not, it was selling $400+, base was selling $60-125

She might sign but I have a forced replacement, I will need to buy the card from someone else.

I think she has more control with TTM/IP as opposed to actually meeting up with [I assume her agent] and a Topps Representative to do a formal signing.

Agreed but to can the card after being on the market for roughly 4 months, how about wait longer to see if it works out?

I think we can all learn a valuble lesson.
Don't buy redemptions. I used to do it all the time but have quit because you get hung to much. If they are sent out there are always some to be had on ebay right after they are sent out.

The reason people continue to "invest" in redemptions is because if the card does go live, it usually goes for a slight to significant premium than the redemption card itself. If you can pick and choose the right guys (Montero), you can do well. But you have players like Wilmor Flores who dissapointed in between the time the redemptions were packed out and the actual cards were sent out, so even if the card does get produced its still not always a win. I know I will never buy a redemption and I will almost always sell any that I pull in products
