Comments: This former Yankee’s prospect is 7-0 with 42 K’s and 10 walks in 52 IP.  Sure, he didn’t make it with the Yanks but that kind of promise merits a Blue Auto selling for more than $13…and so it happened.  One sold this week for $29 and McCallister’s 2007 Chrome Autos have trended up…not long till they pass the other Yankee, Joba the Hut.

Comments: For the second week ago, an undersized guy, who was hardly ever considered a prospect tops the list.  Samuel Babson Fuld is the man this week.  Why do I know his middle name is Babson?  Well, that’s because his Wikipedia page is longer than some HOF’ers.  His Wikipedia page also notes that Sam was at one point in time called an untouchable by Jim Hendry.  Well in another flash of brilliance Jimbo re-negged on his prior statement and threw Sam in, in the Matt Garza trade (psst Matt’s 0-2, 4.74 right now).  Sam is batting over .300, stealing bases, throwing his body all over the place in the outfield and generally delighting Tampa Bay Rays fans.  As a result, his Topps Chrome Autos moved from $10 to $26 this week.

Comments: Each and every year prospectors anticipate the release of the Baseball America top 100 list.  Guys like Drake Britton are why.  Last year he was injured but hopes are still high and he snuck into the list at #97.  All of a sudden his AFLAC Autos released in 2008 Bowman Chrome Draft (one of which I pulled and sold for pennies) go from $20 to $46 in a week.  Drake is representative of a larger (and much discussed) trend that we’ve seen over the past months of prospects seeing significant increases as collectors and prospectors alike anticipate the 2011 season.
