Comments: Originally thought to be “just another base card,” it has been realized that this card is SSP’d.  For those of you still interpreting the card acronyms, that’s Super Short Printed.  At one point in time, this card was available for a couple bucks like any other base card, now its available for $100-$200 bucks.  That’s a whole lot less available and a whole lot more hot.

Comments: Lets say you created a dictionary but instead of defining words by using other words, you defined them by using eBay auctions.  This would be facepalm and come to think of it, facepalm might not appear in a dictionary for other reasons, like the fact that its not a real word but that’s neither here nor there.  As more information has come out about perceived Heritage SSPs, prices have risen.  In the case of the A-Rod reverse negative that means $10 last week and $155 this week.

Comments: This is Aroldis’ second appearance on the Hot List and it is his second appearance at the top.  His Elite autos sold for near $6o when the product was released, then they dropped to $30.  Now, after a nice Spring Training debut they are selling for $75-$100, what a flip!  Throwing 102 mph and being a Cuban defector gets you lots of press coverage.  Lots of press coverage gets you great sales!
