1. Muhammad Ali Leaf Fight Worn Patch Auto 1/1

Comments: We have made no bones about the fact that you make this hot list when you trend prices upward week over week. That being said, sometimes new cards roll onto the market and instead making a diver’s splash, they are more like Chris Farley doing a cannonball. That’s exactly what Leaf’s Muhammad Ali Fight Worn Patch 1/1 Autos have done. The first several have sold for over $1k and I think most expect them to sustain at that price.
2. Sonny Gray 2010 Bowman Chrome Blue Refractors

Comments:From $6 last week to $17 this week, it was just a matter of time before these took off. That’s been one of the interesting things about a lot of these USA guys, their autos cost a fortune but base cards and base parallels from Bowman Chrome, Bowman Platinum and others are still very affordable. I think that’s why you will continue to see cards like this rise.
3. Derrick Rose2008-09 Topps Chrome Xfractor /288

Comments: Derrick is becoming a hot list regular as all the sports commentators and pundits continue to repeat, MVP, MVP, MVP. His prices are right up there with anyone right now, Lebron included. There was an Xfractor /288, yes, that’s right, two hundred and eighty eight that sold for $300 this week.
4. Gio Gonzalez2004 Bowman Chrome Draft Refractor Autos

Comments: It is no secret that we have a few Phans here on the boards. Some of whom have been holding Gio cards for a long long time. Gio’s refractors doubled this past week, moving from $15 to $30 as he is expected to be a contributor this year.
5.Brandon Belt 2009 Elite Autos /610

Comments: The sound of puking is the sound of all those who sold these at $3 each when they came out. Belt started his first big league game today and in his first at bat, he got his first hit. As a result these autos moved from $90 last week to $125 this week. Only Heyward and Wieters have ever sold higher from an Elite Base Auto perspective.
6. SShawn Kemp Absolute Patches and Parallels

Comments: Shawn apparently has a few rabid fans because whether it is patches selling for $169 or parallels /25 for $100+ these are selling like crazy.
7. Cam NewtonAutographs

Comments: Cam (or insert your money related nickname here) is one of the biggest names in this year’s draft and he’s a QB, so thus sales are brisk. Press Pass Autos are over $100 and Leaf Metal football looks fantastic as well.
8. Mike Morse2005 Bowman Chrome Parallel Autos

Comments: Mike’s parallels from 2005 BCDP are selling very well after an excellent spring training. Xfractors moved from $28 last week to $45 this week.
9. UD North Carolina 2010 Autos

Comments: North Carolina has an unrivaled following and this set is reflecting it. Autos of guys who did little in the NBA are selling for $20, guys like Vince Carter are $60 plus and who knows what Jordan will do.
10. Danny Espinosa 2008 Elite Autos

Comments: Danny had two hits today on Opening Day and that’s only going to make this card jump up even more. The last card sold for $15 and there’s one up for sale now that is already over $20.
i have records of other base elites, however short printed, selling in excess of 125. 2007 EEE Max Scherzer, limited to 250 neared $200 a few years ago based on a few starts, Mike stantons 2008 is limited to 100 and has sold in excess of $125 for years now. Chris Davis, a DJ Strawberry EXCH replacement, sold over $150 routinely at the end of the 2009 season, Posey touched $125 very briefly after the 2010 world series, and the 08 Wilmer Flores card /99 used to sell for $125+ when it first cameout.
Love the site, its an inspiration for my baseball-only hot sheet that is posted at atlantasportscards.com, friends OF FCB. I salute FCB for their coverage of over 7 or 8 diff. sports, and a host of non-sport stuff.
Thanks,
