FCB Weekly Hot List – March 17th Edition

FCB Weekly Hot List

1. Sandy Koufax 2011 Topps Heritage Real One Auto

Koufax

Comments: You may have heard of the big hit “Only One” by Rihanna.  Well, this week, “Real One” by Sandy Koufax was released and it is vaulting to the top of the charts.  With days left to go these autographs are already at $400+.  It is unusual for us to put a card on this list that does not have a closed auction yet, nor any history but these cards are en fuego.

2. Manny Banuelos 2010 Topps Pro Debut

Banuelos

Comments: The announcers on ESPN were gushing about him and so prices rose even more.  Several Banuelos Topps Pro Debut base cards hit $10 this week, yes, $10+

3. Greg Monroe 2010-11 Rookie Autos

Monroe

Comments: Greg had a couple big games for the Pistons this week and his cards showed it.  The Donruss Auto /399 above previously sold for about $5-$7, one sold for $17.

4. Jamie Benn UD the Cup Patch Auto /249

Benn

Comments: Making incredible plays on a surging team will get you recognition this time in the hockey season.  That is just what Mr. Benn has been doing and as a result his Cup Autos /249 have moved from $40 to $75 in a week.

5. Charlie Sheen2004 Fans of the Game Auto

Sheen

Comments: The last two sales of this auto were for $150 and $200.  Then one went off at auction for $257.  That puts him in the company of Michael Phelps and Justin Bieber from a Fans of the Game auto perspective.  That’s mighty strange company to be totally honest but would you care if you had tiger blood?  I didn’t think so.

6. Ivan Nova2010 Topps Chrome Auto

Nova
Comments: Another case of a good Spring Training performance making cards move.  Ivan had a good outing and these autos went from $12 to $20.

7. 2011 Topps HeritageCases

Heritage

Comments: Sandy Koufax isn’t the “Only One” that’s hot and affiliated with Heritage.  The entire product moved up this week with cases moving from $825 up to the $950 range.

8. Brett Lawrie2010 Topps Pro Debut GU

Lawrie

Comments: Brett was a guy who had fallen out of prospect favor a little bit.  However, that seems to be changing with the Blue Jays this spring as his performance has people raving about him.  Brett’s GU from Pro Debut has been selling very well including the above patch for over $250.  Razor Autos have also seen a resurgence, some selling for near $20.

9. Derrick Rose 2008-09 Rookie Autos

rose

Comments: Whether it is a Treasury Auto for $200+, an SP Authentic /299 for $800 or the above SPx for over $1k (yes you read that right) Rose’s cards continue to get hotter in spite of their already insane prices.  He is most definitely this year’s Kevin Durant.

10. 2010 National Treasures Rookie Patch Autos

Bradford

Comments: These beautiful patches are still catching collector’s eyes.  The Bradfords continue to sell at $1k+ and premium patches are garnering just that, huge premiums.

That Monroe is sweet. Looks like a throwback to the 80s Donruss. I like the rated rookie throwback.

Rare Jordan inserts from the 90′s are absolutely on fire! A 1997 Star Ruby sold for $4,050 this past week. Other inserts like Legacy’s, Slam Bams, Playmakers Theatre have sold for almost double their previous sales.
